I’ve come to appreciate and even like a lot of things about the Bay Area as compared to my experiences in LA - people are nicer, people have better follow through, people are less materialistic and pretentious, weather is a solid 15 degrees cooler, landscape is waaay more green and lush, more outdoorsy lifestyle (lots of people riding bikes, etc.), more ethnic diversity (or at least a different ethnic diversity than I’m used to), more value placed on career and education (being a recruiter the career part is important to me and being a father the education part is important to me), proximity to Stanford (top international university within walking distance is imo a priceless neighborhood asset), there’s more that I can’t think of.  But aside from all of these personal reasons, my number one reason is the pursuit and growth of my new business venture.
