I arrived in the Bay Area last Wednesday (over 1 week ago already) and although I have come up with all kinds of interesting topics to write about (yes I have been keeping a list), I have yet to write my first blog post.

So here goes!!  For my official first post, I thought I would share my reasons for moving up here.  I moved here to grow a new business - plain and simple.  Everything else in my opinion is gravy (although truth be told there is A LOT of gravy which I plan to write about in my next post).

I’ll be talking A LOT about my new venture once we’re ready to launch but for now, I’ll keep it simple and say that in order for this venture to work, it is imperative that I be living in the Bay.  In my opinion, the Bay Area is the mecca of the technology marketplace, is it the mecca of venture capital and in my opinion the most competitive and active talent marketplace in the world (except for maybe New York, although it would be interesting to research this further).
